Dr. Katie Rinald is passionate about toilet learning! She is a renowned expert and sought-after speaker on toileting. She has consulted with families, schools, and community groups all over the world on challenging toileting issues, and has worked with children, teens, and young adults with a variety of developmental disabilities. Currently, Dr. Rinald is focused on overseeing and supporting the work of the Blackbird team.
Dr. Rinald has completed research on teaching parents to implement toleting with their children with Dr. Pat Mirenda at the University of British Columbia. She has worked with children with developmental disabilities since 2000 and has focused on toileting since 2010.

Paige has a Master’s degree in education with a specialization in behaviour analysis from the University of Western Ontario and is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst. Paige has significant toileting experience; she has worked with children and teens with a wide variety of toileting challenges since 2016 with great success. Paige is committed to working with families to meet them where they are and develop plans and systems that really fit.
Paige is based in Nanaimo, B.C., and oversees all of Blackbird’s toileting work in the Vancouver Island region. She also provides distance consulting via Zoom to families and schools all over the world.
